A new leafI've never realized this until recently, while I was listening to someone very wise and artistic.
I feel tired of trying to fit into the generic cookie cutter shape
I've been presenting things that I'm not happy with, I've been presenting things that I feel other people will be impressed with.
and it is just now I realize I've been holding myself back trying to impress people with art styles I feel they would be impressed with
so it is just now I'm going to go after my visions and my dreams, I'm going to learn watercolor, I'm going to learn the bass guitar, I'm going to learn piano
and I'm going to make a name for myself on my own terms, not for someone else's ideas.
I severely regret following the crowd for such a long portion of my life
Its about time I dress how I want and pull emotions out of people with my artistic ideas that I haven't done before
I want to do something that'll make people angry or upset, I want to make people feel something other then happy or pleased

For the contest over at

You should enter if you have a chance!
The challenge was to draw her characters Mytoko and Reiner.
Mytoko is so silly, taking Reiner's cape.
I wanted to play around with styles, so I went with one of my favorite illustrators, Mikhail Belomlinsky, and tried to emulate his style from the old Soviet versions of "The Hobbit."
Woo. All black and white. I kind of hit a block when I picked it up tonight to complete it. But I finished it at least.

Now go look at my sister's entry too! (It's so much better than mine. XD)
